28 Mar KLM Statement on Al-Quds Day – From the River to the Sea, Palestine Shall Be Free
28 March 2025 – On this last Friday of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Kongamano La Mapinduzi (KLM)
joins the pro-Palestinian international family in marking Al-Quds Day (or ‘Jerusalem’ Day), and
reaffirms our commitment against the genocidal Zionist regime of Israel.
Today, the slogan from the river to the sea, Palestine shall be free – is a wake-up call that this year
Quds Day is taking place in the backdrop of an ongoing genocide in Palestine. 50,000 Palestinian
souls in Gaza, most of them women and children, are not enough for Zionists. At the same time,
armed colonial settlers and troops are today running rampage in the occupied West Bank – invading,
looting and attacking Palestinian towns and villages.
Today, when we say from the river to the sea, Palestine shall be free – it is a wake-up call that the
illusion of a peace loving, human rights defending, and justice-seeking international community is
dead. Where was the international community during the Rwanda genocide in 1994? Where is the
international community when the USA and Israel are committing a genocide in Palestine today – in
the year 2025?
Kongamano La Mapinduzi, is calling upon all spiritual faiths of the world – African, Jews, Christian,
Muslim etc, to unite against the barbarous and genocidal ideology of Zionism. Just as the mighty
Iranian revolution introduced Al-Quds Day in 1979, today’s generation must adapt to the times and
pledge our allegiance to the freedom of all oppressed people of the world. Let us all pledge our
allegiance to freedom, to Palestine.
Muslims all over the globe must consecrate the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Al-Quds
Day and proclaim an international solidarity in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian
people – and we at KLM join you on this day to re-affirm our unwavering and unconditional solidarity
to the Palestinian people.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!
Long live the spirit of international solidarity!
Aluta continua!
Signed
